The phrase is everywhere now, as people realise our life support systems are breaking down.

Sally Weintrobe argues this breakdown is the direct result of a relentless war being waged on our minds, a war that precision bombs not only our thinking but also all the infrastructure that enables and supports thinking. This war is waged by an organising principle she calls ‘anti-thinking’.

In this conversation, Sally will:

  • outline what she means by thinking.
  • explain that thinking differs radically from anti-thinking.
  • give examples of anti-thinking, analysing whose interests anti-thinking currently serve.

Currently, anti-thinking shows every sign of winning a power struggle being fought within ourselves, our social groups and in politics. It is a life and death struggle and unless we understand this, and fight back, she argues that we face suicide as a species, bringing other species and life forms down with us.
